There are many ways to use these cards.  This digital oracle is devised for a standard reading, and all cards are given equal weight. Here is how to interpret a reading.

1st Card (Eastward): The self [the tower].
— The first card you pull reflects your current being, your self or some aspect of your self related to the task at hand.

2nd Card (Southerly): The tool you will use [the well].
— The second card stands in for the tools you will use, a framework for agency, action or articulation of will or happenstance.

3rd Card (Westward):  The goal [the mountain].
— The third card gives you direction on where you are headed, an element that you may wish to gain or use or overcome.

4th Card (North) The mist [Absitru].
— The final card reveals that which presses against you, remains opaque or disturbs the flux of your intention.

Card Types

The Mage Cards deck consists of several types of cards, distributed with varying rarity. The types represent their placement amidst the structure of magical transference, some close to the self, others far distant in the outer reaches of metaphysical hyper-structures.

Mages — Mage Type cards articulate possible magical vocations, techniques and personae. They allow and describe our active agency in the mundane planes of existence. The constituent elements of the Magely classes are admixtures combinations of two primary internal qualities: Gnosis, Order, Nature and Chaos.

Beings — Being types cards occupy a liminal space between the self and alterior dimensions. These include creatures, apparitions, arcane machines and other familiar entities that can bridge between that which we command and that which commands us. The Beings are admixtures of one internal and one external quality: Numina, Techne, Tulpa and Apeiron.

Aspects — Anchored in the external mystical realms, these places, artifacts, conceptual spaces and situations are monadistic guideposts in the physical or metaphysical substrate. They are not, typically, conscious entities themselves, nor are they companion forms to human pursuit, but stand outside of ourselves as way-points in the ether.

Spells — Poetics become mantras in the course of the Spells, which are quite rare, and give their wielders power over mater and nature, not through alliance or embodiment, but instead through articulation.

Demigods / Demigoddesses — Where human abilities begin to wane, the Demigods and Demigoddesses appear, lesser dieties that circumscribe out influence with their own, archetypal wills and intuitions. These rare cards embody that which is holy and long true, the guides of outer realms where our faith begets empowerment and clarity.

Gods / Goddesses — Beyond all human capability the Gods and Goddesses hold sway. These conscious entities are at the brink of elemental and final truths, universal constants that overlap the universe and the microcosmos and our interior selves. These very rare cards can anchor us in our wonderment, and give us immense power to navigate and change our course.
